Staff Training Early Closures 2024

Please note that Sydenham House and Musgrove Park Medical Centres will be closed from 13:00 on the following dates for Staff Training.

Should you require medical help please call the surgery number which will direct patients to the out of hours service. 

Bank Holiday Closures

Sydenham House and Musgrove Park Medical Centres will be closed on the following Public Bank Holidays during 2024. 

  • Friday 29th March - Good Friday
  • Monday 1st April - Easter Monday
  • Monday 6th May - Early May Bank Holiday
  • Monday 27th May - Spring Bank Holiday
  • Monday 26th August - Summer Bank Holiday
  • Wednesday 25th December - Christmas Day
  • Thursday 26th December - Boxing Day

We ask patients to please make sure repeat prescriptions are ordered in plenty of time to ensure patients have enough medication over these closures.

When We Are Closed

Please call NHS 111 if you need medical help when this practice is closed. The NHS 111 team has trained advisers, nurses and doctors available at all times. They can help over the phone and advise you where to go if you need to see someone. Please don’t waste time going to the wrong place – phone NHS 111 first.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.

111 online is a fast and convenient alternative to the 111 phone service and provides an option for people who want to access 111 digitally. 

Your needs will be assessed and you will be given advice about whether you need:

  • Treat yourself at home
  • Go to a Primary Care Centre

If you need face to face medical attention you may be asked to attend a Primary Care Centre.
