Appointment System

Commenced 2nd May 2017

We have listened to your comments regarding the appointment system and with this in mind we have made some changes.

The proposed changes are:

  • A telephone triage system  If it is thought necessary to see a clinician you will be offered an appointment for that day or the following day
  • On the day appointments These can be booked online
  •   Routine appointments These can be booked 1 week in advance
  •  We will not facilitate “walk in appointments”

If you cannot keep an appointment, please inform the practice as soon as possible

 With this new system:

  •  You will be asked some questions to signpost you to the most appropriate clinician to deal with your problem
  • If you are unsure as to whether you need an appointment, you can discuss this with the receptionist in confidence so that you can be guided through the system
  • You may be offered an appointment with a Nurse Practitoner, who can prescribe medication and works alongside our GPs
  • If you have forms to be completed, please bring these to the practice and speak to the reception team, who will forward them to the appropriate administration/secretarial staff. This will avoid you having to make an appointment

If you register for online appointments, please be aware that the registration will be invalidated if the registration letter remains unused for more than 90 days or if the account is not activated in 90 days

We use SMS text messaging to remind patients about their appointments. Please ensure we have your up to date mobile number

There will be forms available at reception and a questionnaire, situated on the home page of this website, for your comments.

Your feedback is important to us
